- Point Virgin Active reopens today. I am very excited about that. #
- Book of the week: The follow up to Freakonomics, Superfreakonomics. Supposed to be even better than the first book http://bit.ly/6KyKG4 #
- Started the day with a flat white from the all new Truth Coffee Cult @ the Prestwich memorial, cnr Buitengracht & Somerset. Looks promising. #
- Off to the Superette in Woodstock for lunch a bit later, it will be my first visit. I've heard about it, but haven't heard any feedback. #
- RT @underinfluence: First Growths – http://tinyurl.com/yeombdt <— 500 happy customers of incredible wines in 3 months! #
- What's the cheapest & easiest way to transport 10 to 15 peeps around town on a night out? Rikki's? Other suggestions? #
- For the vegetarians: Jo Brown is a newish vegetarian restaurant on Buiten Street in town (around the corner from Lola's) #
- Superette wasn't bad, I had a chicken & salad sandwich for R45 which was fresh & tasty. The Kitchen is better value but very (too?) busy #
- I noticed up the road from the Superette is a new place called Bread – Cafe, Boulangerie & Deli. It looks interesting http://bit.ly/8NXfaD #
- I meant to say this a while ago, the 'festive lights' along Adderly St. are actually quite impressive. Well done CT. #
- My post on the launch of the potentially very cool Cafe Chic, with notes on launches in general http://bit.ly/4nUBFj #
- RT @winecoza: RT @mikeratcliffe: the Warwick Wine Estate 'Gourmet Picnic' experience opens tomorrow http://bit.ly/7IGWq9 #
- Relax with Dax is optimised for mobiles. It displays just the list of posts, without graphics and layout, with a search bar at the bottom #
- I'm looking forward to the media launch of Vaudeville tonight http://bit.ly/7y5HNr #
- RT @WhaleCottage: Salt opening deli in old Carlucci in Bantry Bay, with oysters and champagne, Stefan Antoni designed #
- Loving the show at Vaudeville, food has ups and downs. Overall, I'm impressed. #
- I'm on a Golden Arrow bus, heading to town to catch a train to Kalk Bay. This is one of the new buses. It has aircon! I'm impressed. #
- On the train, nice to see the men giving up their seats for elderly and women. #Proudly The main station is being upgraded, looking good #
- It would be helpful if the station names were properly signed, difficult to know where I am. This should be Newlands. #
- Unlike in the UK, the commuters are interacting with each other. lots of chatting and whole carriage just sang happy birthday to someone #
- It's a fine day in Kalk Bay. The Brass Bell is keeping us well fed and lubricated. #
- I just saw two cops cruising along the Seapoint promenade on Segways! How come we haven't heard anything about this? #
- I haven't had a razzle like that @ Caprice in ages. I'm surprised I got home in one piece & with all my possessions. Feeling oddly fine 2day #
- V&A Aqua Festival now on. Enjoy big acts like Parlotones, Johnny Clegg plus jazz, carols and opera on a floating stage http://bit.ly/7RUwZh #
- RT @JardineCapeTown 150th follower stands 2 win bottle of Jardine Cab; retweet follower resulting in the 150th gets 2 course dinner for 2 #

- A bottle a Haut Espoir Gentle Giant to wash down the steak… #
- If you're wondering what's happening @ the Copenhagen Climate talks, check out this excellent summary to get up to date http://bit.ly/6pwviI #
- Dinner at HQ last night was good and breakfast at Cafe Chic this morning was pleasant but quiet. Note to self: get cholesterol checked. #
- re Killers traffic debacle: in their apology, Big Concerts referred to a "rigorous planning & risk assessment". I want to see that report. #
- The front of the One & Only hotel really is quite boring. Not eye catching at all, no wonder I didn't notice it until I actually went there. #
- RT @mrtuckbox Bachelors start! Diaz Tavern about to be pillaged – good luck pal, hope u survive #
- It's a lovely day in Stellies. Looking forward to a good wedding this afternoon, but first, breakfast at the market. #
